Do members need an account?
No. Members do not need to create a Steady Word account. They open the church’s app link and can add it to their Home Screen for one-tap access.
Do members need a Google account?
No. Google Sheets is part of the admin workflow. Members do not need Google accounts to use the reading plan app.
Does our church need Google Workspace?
No. You just need one admin with a regular Google account to access the Google Sheet. Members don't need Google accounts at all.
Is Steady Word in the App Store?
No. Steady Word is a web app/PWA. Members open a link, then can add it to their Home Screen on iPhone or Android.
Who decides what readings appear?
Your church or curriculum provider does. Steady Word does not generate devotional content, theological commentary, or Bible curriculum.
Can we use this with Bible.com?
Yes. Reading buttons can open passages in Bible.com. Steady Word is not trying to replace Bible.com; it helps your church organize and deliver assigned readings.
Can we run multiple plans at once?
Yes. Churches can run multiple active plans or classes, organized by groups and display order in the Admin workbook.
What do you need from us to get started?
A reading schedule, class outline, curriculum plan, or rough list of readings — along with your church name and branding basics and an admin contact. Steady Word handles the setup from there.
How long does setup take?
Typically about two weeks from when we receive your readings. Your first plan is set up with you, so there is time to review and adjust before anything goes live.
Can older members use it without installing anything?
Yes. The reading plan works in a normal browser from any device — adding it to the Home Screen just makes it easier to open and helps reminders reach you more reliably.
What happens when someone gets a new phone?
Reading progress is stored on the device, so it may not transfer automatically when someone switches phones. This is part of the no-account privacy model. Members can simply start fresh, or pick up where they left off manually.
Can the app match our church?
Yes. First-year setup includes church-specific branding basics such as app name, colors, and configuration.
What data does Steady Word store about members?
Steady Word is designed around a no-member-account model. Members do not need to log in, and reading progress is stored on the member’s own device. If someone submits a support request or contact form, that information is used to respond and support the church’s use of Steady Word. See the Privacy Policy for more detail.
What happens if our admin changes?
The workflow is designed so another admin can take over using the shared workbook, Plan Builder, and Manage Plans documentation.
What happens if we cancel?
If your church cancels, hosted app access and ongoing support end. We can help you preserve or export your plan information from the workbook during offboarding.
How do we get started?
Send a note about your church, class, curriculum, or reading-plan idea. Steady Word can start with a demo and a conversation about what you are trying to help people follow.
